HEATHER ROBERTS, a Woman of Conviction and Determination. . .
Heather is probably the quietest, most non-assuming young woman in our group. Getting to know Heather is worth every minute of time because she has a depth that not even she is aware of, yet. Behind that soft smile and the hesitancy to be noticed, however, there is a woman of conviction and determination; a strength waiting to be tested.
Heather's deepest desire, according to her devotions and also as seen first-hand in her life, is to be a mother. She has desired children for a long time, and as she has said in her devotions, more than once, God will grant you the desires of your heart. Maybe not when you expect them, but when He knows the time is right. He did bless Heather and Chris with two beautiful children, Courtney and Theodore (Teddy). They are the delights in Heather's life.
When first asked if she would like to write devotions for the TAG team, she made the common comment, "I've never done this before," but she followed that up quickly with, "But, yes, I'd like to try." Her first devotion blew the rest of us out of the water, and we knew that God had, once again, spoken to just the right person for this ministry.
In Heather and her writings, we are finding a young woman not afraid to "tell it like it is," and her hard-core strength and problems reach out to others who are not quite as brave as she is in getting to the bottom line. A spade is a spade, for Heather - God's way or no way - and therein lies her conviction and determination.
